FAQ
How does the CV rewrite process work?
Once you send your current CV and the type of roles you want to target, I’ll review what you already have and send over focused discovery questions.
You then complete the questions with any extra detail, achievements, examples or context that may be missing from the CV.
Once I have everything needed, I’ll confirm the expected turnaround time and begin rewriting the CV around your target roles, experience and strengths.

How Long does it take?
Most CVs are completed within 5–7 business days. If you’re on a tight timeline, just let us know, and rush options may be available.
What if I do not know what roles to target?
That is completely fine. You do not need to have every detail worked out before getting support.
If you are unsure about your next direction, we can look at your background, strengths, experience, interests and the types of roles or working environments you are considering. From there, the CV can be shaped around a clearer direction rather than trying to cover everything at once.
Sometimes the CV process itself helps you see what your strongest options are.
For more detailed guidance on your next step, you can also book a career coaching session.
Do you specialise in writing for any specific industries?
I have supported clients across a wide range of industries, including finance, healthcare, legal, education, hospitality, technology, operations, sales, administration, public sector and graduate roles.
My strongest specialist area is public sector application support, including personal statements, behaviours, STAR-format examples and role-aligned evidence.
Even if your background is outside those areas, I can still help by identifying the strongest parts of your experience and shaping them into a clear, targeted CV that matches the roles you want to apply for.
For public sector applications, you can also ask about personal statement and behaviour support.
Do you write entry level or career change CVs?
Yes. I support clients at different career stages, including graduates, early-career applicants and professionals moving into a new field.
For entry-level CVs, the focus is on making the most of education, placements, internships, part-time work, projects, volunteering and transferable skills.
For career changers, the focus is on repositioning your existing experience so employers can see how your skills, achievements and strengths connect to the roles you want next.
The aim is to build a CV that supports where you are going, not just where you have been.
Can you help with gaps in my career history?
Yes. Career gaps are common and can usually be handled clearly and professionally.
Whether the gap was due to caring responsibilities, health, redundancy, study, relocation, family commitments or personal circumstances, the key is to present your history honestly without allowing the gap to dominate the CV.
I’ll help you decide whether the gap needs a brief explanation, whether the structure should be adjusted, and how to keep the focus on your skills, experience and suitability for the roles you are targeting.
Will my CV be ATS-friendly?
Yes. CVs are written with a clear structure, readable formatting, appropriate headings and role-relevant keywords so they can be read effectively by both applicant tracking systems and human recruiters.
The focus is on keeping the CV professional, easy to scan and aligned with the roles you are targeting, without relying on gimmicks or over-designed layouts that may cause parsing issues.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes. CV rewrites include a 14-day revision window after delivery.
Once you receive the completed CV, you can review it and let me know if anything needs adjusting, such as wording, accuracy, emphasis or presentation.
I usually recommend using the revision window strategically by sending a specific job description you want to apply for. That way, I can help tailor the CV more closely to that role, giving you both a strong base CV and a more targeted version for a live application.
Do you guarantee interviews?
No. No CV writer can guarantee interviews or job offers because hiring decisions depend on external factors such as competition, timing, internal candidates and role fit. What I can do is improve how your experience is presented and help you apply more strategically.
Can you tailor my CV to a specific job?
Yes. I usually recommend using the revision window to tailor the CV to a live job description so you have a strong base CV and a targeted version.
What formats will I receive?
You’ll get your final documents in both Word and PDF formats. That way, you can make small edits yourself if needed, or send a polished PDF directly to employers.
Can I come back later for updates?
Of course! Many clients return when they land a new job, get a promotion, or want to shift directions. We’ll follow the same simple process, and updates are offered at a flat rate of £45.
What if I'm not in the UK?
That’s totally fine! I have worked with clients around the world. Just let me know where you’re applying so I can tailor your CV to local expectations if needed.
What's the best way to get started?
The easiest way to get started is to choose the package that fits your needs, or just reach out through the contact page if you’re not sure yet. Once you’re in touch, I’ll send over everything you need, including a short questionnaire and next steps, to get the ball rolling. There’s no pressure to have all the answers up front. If you’re still figuring things out, that’s totally fine. I’ll help guide you through the process, step by step, so it feels clear and manageable from the start. Whether you’re ready to move quickly or just want to ask a few questions first, you’re welcome to start wherever you’re most comfortable.
